Details:
We wish to encourage camaraderie, not competition.
Each team be given a name and will consist of players from each school. Both teams in each session will learn the skills together and then scrimmage.

Our focus is skill development , not competition . No score will be kept!
Basic volleyball skills covered each week for 30 min with a parent/partner and then 30 minutes of scrimmaging will follow. A new skill will be added each week to the previously covered skills. Personal achievements and skill development games will be rewarded with fun prizes!

Rules:
We will be following Parochial Athletic League (PAL) 4th grade rules with the following changes:
  1. We have unlimited player substitutions to assure as close to equal playing time as possible.
  2. The scrimmage will be in three 10 minute sets, with no score kept. Side out rules will be applied in the later weeks.
  3. Unlike PAL, when a girl has been successful at 5 straight serves from the shortened line, there will be a coach tossed ball.
  4. An initial missed serve will be given a second try, a second missed serve will be followed by a coach tossed ball.
  5. Girls will be given the option to move up a little if they lack the strength to get their serves over the net from the shorter line.
  6. Due to PAL following NSAA rules, we feel we must mention that players are required to have the gender of “female” listed on their birth certificate.

Fees for 2017: $20 each which includes a uniform t-shirt. There will be NO late sign ups accepted!
Registration fees cover the cost of the uniforms, and are used to supplement expenses associated with the Athletic program.
There will be no referee fee as parents/coaches will fill this position. We have no league fee or admission fee.

IMPORTANT: Due to the passage of LB260, the Nebraska Concussion Awareness Act, we are required to provide you with the Parent/Athlete Concussion Information Sheet (link below). Please read it and review it with the athlete prior to registering.  As part of the registration process you and the athlete you are registering will be required to acknowledge receipt of this information.

More information is also available at the Nebraska Sports Concussion Network.
